    Qredits introduces microcredit on Aruba

    On April 1, 2017 Qredits started its microfinance activities on Aruba. As of today any (starting) entrepreneur or existing business on Aruba can apply for microcredit up to Afl. 50,000 through the website Tuesday April 4 at 16h the Qredits Aruba office will be officially opened in the MFA Noord building in Noord Aruba.     Qredits case study - How EFSI benefits SMEs in Europe


    One of the hardest decisions in life is to follow one’s gut instincts, take the leap, leave behind your job, and dare to start up your own business. The EU’s Investment Plan for Europe aims to support European entrepreneurs in starting up their own companies and pursuing their ambitions by offering better access to the necessary financing.     Qredits raises credit limit in Bonaire to $50,000


    As of January 1, 2017 starting and existing entrepreneurs on Bonaire can apply for microcredit loans up to $50,000. With this increase Qredits is able to finance even more (starting) entrepreneurs and further stimulate entrepreneurship on the island. Read more


    Qredits lowers interest rates by 1%


    In 2016 Qredits issued over €42 million in business loans making it possible for 1,750 entrepreneurs to start or expand their businesses last year. This represents a 27% increase compared to 2015 results. Due to these positive results Qredits decided to lower all interest rates on microcredit and SME loans by 1% starting January 1, 2017.     Qredits enters Aruba market


    On December 8 a momentous partnership agreement was signed between Qredits and the Aruban Government. Elwin Groenevelt, Qredits CEO and Prime Minister Eman of Aruba and Mr. Arends, Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications, signed an agreement that will contribute to the strengthening of entrepreneurship in Aruba.     Qredits evening classes well received among unemployed youth


    Prior to the Summer Qredits piloted its new initiative Evening Classes to prepare and train unemployed youth for entrepreneurship. Following its success the program called EigenBaas (BeYourOwnBoss) has now started in three more cities throughout the country: Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Almelo. Read more

    First PhD research study into the effects of microfinance in the Netherlands


    Over the next four years, the first PhD research study will take place into the social and economic impact of Microcredit in developed economies. In this case the study focuses specifically on the situation in the Netherlands. The study is conducted by Alija Ibrahimovic, M.S. under the guidance of joint promoters Prof. Dr. Frank Verbeeten MBA and Dr. Niels Bosma of Utrecht University, Dr. Lex Teeffelen of the Hogeschool Utrecht and Qredits Microfianciering Nederland.
